Our Work

AFC has completed complex air flow design projects for some of the largest restaurant chains in the country, as well as stand-alone installations for individual properties with challenging requirements.  Whether your facility is at one end of that spectrum or the other, AFC will take a comprehensive, thoughtful approach to the work, listening carefully to your needs and providing a range of options to address your unique situation.

Bokampers Sports Bar and Grill
Miramar, FL

This is a single-story sports bar where AFC designed the kitchen with over 90’ of hoods required. We also supplied the outdoor air units necessary to offset the negative pressure of the kitchen and satisfy the requirements of ASHRAE.

Texas De Brazil

San Antonio, TX

Texas De Brazil is a high-end restaurant using (2) 17’ hoods. One is over a charcoal-fired churassco grill with heavy grease. The installation was in a very old 6-story building that was being converted into a restaurant. The restaurant occupies two floors with a hood on each floor and had to be exhausted on the 6th floor.

Java & Jam

Ft. Lauderdale, FL

The owner took over an open-air bar and converted it into this restaurant located on the first floor of a high rise in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. The existing HVAC system provided all the outside air and the hood required pollution control to exhaust out to the street.

Flanigans

Sunrise, FL

The chain took over an old Johnny Carino’s Restaurant. AFC was able to reuse the existing 40’ of hood system but tempered the MUA using (2) 15 ton condensing units and a new air handler. Several exhaust fans were also replaced to ensure the system would stand up to the heavy cooking. The controls were modified as necessary.
